Background

Bernd Glazinski has been a member of the Executive Board of Thurn und Taxis Consulting AG in Cologne since 2025 and is Principal of the Thurn und Taxis Social Entrepreneurship Foundation. For over three decades, as managing partner of MSA GmbH (1994-2023), he advised companies on people and organisational development and built several companies of his own in Germany and Guinea-Bissau, among them the Hotel H1 as well as Mansoa Frutas and Mansoa Industria.

As Professor of Business Psychology at Rheinische Hochschule Köln, founding rector of the German University Institute Wilhelm von Humboldt in Mansoa (Guinea-Bissau) and director of several research institutes, he combines academic depth with entrepreneurial practice, focusing on organisational development, change management and the economic development of West Africa. He founded the university institute in 2021 together with Prof. Dr. Dr. Konrad Obermann.

Background

Konrad Obermann is a physician and economist with more than 25 years of experience in clinical work, research and strategic planning. After medical posts in Bremen and Hanover he worked as a consultant at The Boston Consulting Group, headed the health economics department at the IGES Institute in Berlin and served as a long-term expert for the German Agency for Technical Cooperation (GTZ) in the Philippines.

His consulting, teaching and research projects on health financing and health systems have taken him to more than 20 countries. In 2021 he founded the German University Institute Wilhelm von Humboldt in Mansoa, Guinea-Bissau, together with Bernd Glazinski. At Thurn und Taxis Consulting AG he is responsible for the Innovative Health business area.
